My name is Don Kennedy, and on October 1, 2006 my son, Bryce Kennedy, was killed in an alcohol related accident. He was 19 years old and in the prime of his life. In the spring of 2008, I was asked to be a guest speaker at the Hawley ISD (Hawley, TX) Shattered Dreams Program to share my family’s story with their students. I was amazed at the impact it made on the majority of the students. Shattered Dreams is a program where the school, with the help of a film crew, stage an accident, involving several of their students. During this accident there is usually fatality, a serious injury and an arrest. The student body is released from class to witness the accident and then the following day there is an assembly to talk about the previous day’s events. There are also guest speakers who share their real life experience.
On October 11, 2008 Bryce Kennedy Memorial Inc. held its first annual Bryce Kennedy Memorial "Shattered Clays for Shattered Dreams" Sporting Clay Event. We are currently gearing up for our Second Annual event to be held October 10, 2009 at Abilene Clay Sports. With funds from last years event we have had sponsored two Shattered Dreams programs and numerous other events that teach you the dangers of underage drinking and drinking and driving. Hopefully with your donation we can top our event from last year.
Bryce Kennedy Memorial Inc. is dependent on fund raising events and sponsors. That is where you come in. Underage drinking and drinking and driving are on the rise and we feel like it is important to get the message out there. Please consider being a sponsor of "Shattered Clays for Shattered Dreams."
For more information regarding Bryce Kennedy Memorial Inc. please contact me, Don Kennedy at 325-691-0758 or 325-280-4008. Bryce Kennedy Memorial is a 501c3 organization.
Thank You for Your Time,
Don Kennedy

Note from Mom:
I just want to say thanks for all of the support that we have had. As Bryce's mom the loss that I have feared most since Bryce's death has been the loss of Bryce's memory. Bryce Kennedy Memorial is a tribute to a young man who loved people, loved the Lord and had a great enthusiasm for the outdoors. At the same time we are able to help others to learn about the dangers of drinking and driving and underage drinking.
Thank you-
Shawn Kennedy
